Mark & Gloria Vera Impacting Lifetimes: Making a Difference

For over 24 years Mark and Gloria have served in full-time ministry working with jr. high, high school, college, young adults and church leadership. In recent years the modern climate in education has changed dramatically and a new (or actually old) paradigm is needed! With Century Charities we are helping churches launch K-16 Christian schools with customized kinder thru career development pathways. Whether a trade school, college bound or right into the workforce, we want to help prepare the next generation for what God's destiny is for their life!

Mark grew up in San Antonio and after high school served in the U.S. Air Force. He then attended the University of Texas San Antonio. While studying to complete a degree in Computer Science, Mark was involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) as a student and volunteer helping to reach and teach college students with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In August of 2002, GOD spoke to him and simply asked, “Mark, who are you trusting for your provision?” God began talking to Mark about trusting HIM with his entire life by taking a step of faith into full-time ministry! Mark graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2016 with his Masters in Christian Leadership and served as the national director for Destino - the Latino ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru).

Gloria was born in Bakersfield, California, raised in south Texas and lived twenty years in Orlando, Florida. She worked at Cru Headquarters as a paid employee. In 2003 her leaders challenged her to join the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) as a full‐time missionary! Her parents shared the story of them dedicating her to the Lord’s service when she was a baby which served as a confirmation of His calling on her life. Despite the fear, Gloria understood that she was to always be “faithful and obedient” to the Lord. Gloria served in the US Ministries office as executive assistant,  Latin America Operations and the national operations and conference director for Destino.

We are bridging Sunday to Monday by leveraging education and entrepreneurship to make disciples! Impacting lifetimes by helping churches start a summer feed and read program, to planting a Christian school, to launching student ministries and summer missions, to community and marketplace ministries. 

As a family, the Lord has continued to guide our steps and lead us with His heart for the world. But NO roles in life are more important to Gloria and I than husband, wife and parents to Gabriela and Maricela! They are growing up into beautiful young ladies. That's a praise and a prayer request at the same time!

The Century Charities team has embraced and empowered us to pursue the vision God has put in our hearts. We are trusting God to provide a team of people who will join us leveraging education and entrepreneurship to make disciples. Will you join us?
